My daughter has a very white tongue, at first the doctors said it was just milk, after 2 months it did not change so the doctors then concluded it might be thrush. They gave me medication but it didn’t change anything. I am breastfeeding, has anyone else experienced a white tongue not due to thrush?
She does not have any white patches on her gums or cheeks, my breasts feel fine, and she has had a white tongue since the first few days in the hospital.

Not kidding… it could be a yeast infection. I remember my niece got that when she was a baby. If you go to the doc, they’ll give you drops that you put in the babies mouth..it should go away. go back to the doc.

Thrush is a type of yeast infection. You have to talk to your doctor and get the appropriate medication. In the mean time avoid anything that may aggrivate it and eat yogurt.

I believe that I may be infected too because, it burns and hurts really bad when he feeds from my left breast, position is right, and everything…It doesn’t rub off of his tongue.

I’m a 20 year old male suffering from candida. The medication I’ve been prescribed doesn’t seem to make any good (Fluconazole). I do still have white coated tongue .. it’s even worse because i started to develop spots in my mouth that are slightly raised. I’m tired all the time, i can’t concentrate on anything..
